Site Changes Coming Soon~ 6.28.2009

Hi all. Within a few weeks, we will be releasing a new short film with which we will be attacking the festival circuit with. Along with the short we are bringing more changes, such as the fact that even as of right now, the “Screening Room” Page will be restricted to logged in/ registered users only. We may also restrict RSS subscriptions to registered users only. This is to help us identify and collect data about the thousands of visits we get each month. I encourage everyone to register now, as you will be unaffected by changes in the future. Another change will be that skfilms.net will be the EXCLUSIVE carrier of our content, and our other social networking sites will no longer carry our actual videos. This is again to help collect audience data, so the only way to see future content will be to register.

Bloom-3430 Open Auditions Scheduled for 7.1.2009

Hey all- the Bloom-3430 open auditions have been scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm at the Panera Bread in Medina, OH (On Pearl Rd, email casting@skfilms.net or google it for directions from your city.) We will be in the meeting room, and of course you can grab a bite to eat or a cup of delicious coffee while your waiting for your turn. We will most likely (99% sure at this point) have another day to audition, in the evening. That way, anyone who can’t come because of work will be able to audition for their role. When you get there, ask about the SK Films Meeting and they will point you in the right direction! (we will also have a sign up to help direct you in the right direction) Hope to see you all there, email casting@skfilms.net with any questions or inquiries!

Bloom-3430 Casting Call Live! - 6.19.2009

Bloom-3430 tells the story of a corrupt Dr. Stephen Bloom, and his attempt to get rich by developing a new hallucinogenic drug with a fresh out of college junkie named Ed. After they succeed in creating the substance, known as Bloom-3430, they auction the recipe off to the highest bidder. Felix, a big-time drug lord in this small town, happens to be the highest bidder. They successfully complete the sell, and later that night both Ed and Felix are killed by a hit man Bloom hired so he could keep the money and the recipe and possibly make even more cash. However, Ed had an ace up his sleeve. While testing the drug, he had a moment where he was in Bloom’s office and saw a letter he had written, but only saw the words “hit man” and “after the sell.” Knowing he was probably a dead man, he couldn’t run away for fear that Bloom would kill him on the spot. So, as a last resort, he told one of his best friends, Frank, a legal genius and a Prosecutor that if he got “any news, about me, or anything like that” he should look for Bloom first. He also left a sample of the substance and a tape with a phone conversation Bloom had with him from early in their enterprise as evidence in case it ever went down. The story ends with Bloom sitting at his desk while sirens and red & blue lights flash outside his window.

Ed Harris is a young junkie who is found by Bloom after blood test results come up positive for LSD. He’s average ht and wt, short hair.
3. Male / 31-40 yrs. / African American.
Tall and large. He’s a local drug lord who’s making it big. Short hair, he’s a mean son of a gun with an attitude that everybody is wasting his time if they aren’t giving him money.
4. Male / 25-30 yrs. / Caucasian.
Minor character, but important to the plot. He is tall and skinny, and a legal genius. Short hair, glasses.
